 Lamar Odom is an American professional basketball player with a an estimated net worth of $30,000. Lamar Odom was a professional basketball player for the NBA, playing as forward for the Los Angeles Lakers. During his NBA career, Lamar earned $115 million in total salary (pre-tax). His best earning season was between 2008 and 2009 when the Lakers paid him $14 million.Lamar Joseph Odom was born on the 6th of November 1979 in South Jamaica, Queens, New York City, New York. As a kid, Odom was a difficult child. At the age of 12, his mother passed away from colon cancer. His dad was addicted to heroin. His grandmother Mildred was his mother. Odom was a top basketball player at all three of his high schools: Redemption Christian Academy, Christ The King Regional High School and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Odom was the Parade Player of the year, USA Today All USC First Team and Parada All American First Team. Odom gave some thought to making the NBA straight out of high school but was able to conclude that he wasn't prepared. Odom was granted an award by the University of Nevada Las Vegas. The school, however, revoked his scholarship after a few questions about his ACT score came up.
