He has been a part of telecasts of the NFL, NCAA, men's basketball and the PGA Tour for CBS Sports in the 1990s. Since 2004, Nantz has been the NFL announcer for CBS's most prestigious play-by-play. He completed his broadcasting studies at the University of Houston, Texas. There, he played on the Houston Cougars' men's golf team. Blaine McCallister and Fred Couples were his roommates as well.
