The track "Angie" is by The Rolling Stones from England appeared on their 1973 album Goats Head Soup. It was also the album's lead single album, released on the 20th of August 1973.The track is credited like most Rolling Stones songs are, to both Mick Jagger and Keith Richards However, it is recognized that it was written almost entirely by Richards and Richards, with Jagger being the primary contributor to the lyrics. "Angie", a guitar-driven ballad, was recorded between November 1972 between December 1972 and November 1972. It is a song about the end of the relationship. The song's distinctive piano accompaniment, composed by Richards and performed on the album by Nicky Hopkins, a Rolling Stones recording-session regular. Nicky Harrison arranged the strings for the piece along with "Winter" in his arrangement. One of the peculiarities in the recording's original version is that the singer Mick Jagger's vocal track (made prior to the moment when the final vocals were sung) is barely audible throughout the track (an effect often referred to as a "ghost vocal").
