Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. When she was just five years old her family moved to Oxfordshire and went to at the Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she decided she wanted to make it as an actress. She trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a partially-time theater school in Oxford in which she learned singing and acting. Before the age of ten she had performed and taken as the main character in several Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film adaptation to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was announced in 1999. Agents for casting found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone as well as Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been picked for the role. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's debut film appearance came alongside Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. It was also the most profitable film in the year 2001. The first Saturday and Sunday the sales were unbeatable. It was highly praised by reviewers, and so were the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph, a frequently read British newspaper, was awed by her for her impressive performance. Emma's performance was nominated and won five awards later for the movie.
