Ryan Murphy developed Ratched, an American psychological thriller on streaming TV series. Sarah Paulson plays the character of the character of Nurse Mildred Ratched. A prequel to Milos forman's 1975 film One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (based on Ken Kesey's 1962 novel with the same name), it depicts the life of Mildred Ratched prior to the events depicted in the film, but in an entirely different state (California in contrast to Oregon). Ratched was ordered for a second season. The premiere of the first season was on Netflix on the 18th of September 2020. Mildred is a 1947-born nurse who is brought to Northern California to work at a psychiatric hospital that is conducting disturbing tests on human minds. Mildred seems to be an ideal example of a dedicated nurse. However, the wheels keep going. As Mildred begins to penetrate the mental health system and the patients who reside there, her gorgeous exterior conceals a dark truth that has been simmering in her.
