Ken Burns

 Ken Burns is an American producer and director with an estimated net worth of $3.5 million. American filmmaker Ken Burns is well-known for his numerous documentaries and documentary series about historical topics. His most renowned works include "The Civil War,"" "Jazz," "Prohibition," "The Roosevelts," and "The Vietnam War." Burns' filmmaking style is well-known for his use of slow zooms into and out photographs and archive footage. The technique is known as the "Ken Burns effect". Burns has been honored with over 20 honorary degrees. His film "The Civil War" was awarded more than 40 important TV and film awards including two Emmy Awards, two Grammy Awards, Producer of the Year Award from the Producers Guild of America, a People's Choice Award, a Peabody Award, a duPont-Columbia Award, a D. W. Griffith Award, and the $50,000 Lincoln Prize. The 2017 documentary "The Vietnam War", was also well-received. There's a Ken Burns Wing at Hampshire College's Jerome Liebling Center for Film Photography, Film and Video. In 2004 Burns was awarded the S. Roger Horchow Award for the most outstanding public service by the Private Citizen, an award given out annually by Jefferson Awards.
