 Dwayne Douglas Johnson (born May 2, 1972) who is also known under his nickname, the ring The Rock, is an American actor and former professional wrestler. The Rock is widely considered to be one of the best professional wrestlers ever. The contribution he made to the success of the World Wrestling Federation, now WWE in the Attitude Era (an time of boom in the industry during the late 1990s and early 2000s) was widely acknowledged. Johnson was a wrestler with the WWF for eight years prior to pursuing an acting career. Johnson was an actor prior to when he became a top-grossing actor in the decade of 2010, had previously wrestled for the WWF for eight years. At Freedom High School in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley, he ultimately was a star on the school's football and wrestling teams.
