Sarah Michelle Prinze (nee Gellar/'gel@r/ GHL-@r; born on April 14, 1977) is an American actress as well as a producer and entrepreneur. She was first noticed in New York City at age four, and she made her television acting debut on An Invasion of Privacy (1983). An important role in the series for teenagers Swans Crossing (1992) was followed by her role as Kendall Hart on the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children (1993-1995) in which she received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in the Drama Series.Gellar received international recognition for her role as Buffy Summers on the WB/UPN television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003) and brought five Teen Choice Awards, a Saturn Award, and a Golden Globe Award nomination. Film her most commercially successful roles include I Know What You Did The Last Summer (1997), Scream 2 (1997), Cruel Intentions (1999), Scooby-Doo (2002) and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004), The Grudge (2004) and TMNT (2007).
