Nicholas Scott Cannon was born on October 8th in 1980. Cannon is an American comedian, host of a television show actor, rapper, and performer. Cannon began his career in television when he was a teenager, by hosting All That. Then, he was able to host the show The Nick Cannon Show and Wild 'n Out, America's Got Talent, Lip Sync Battle Shorties, The Masked Singer, and The Nick Cannon Show. Cannon was a character in the films Drumline as well as Love Don't Cost a Thing. He also performed as a rapper, and released his debut album, self-titled in 2003. It featured the track "Gigolo" which was a collaboration with R. Kelly. He was the lead character in the film Goal II: Living the Dream of TJ Harper who was the fictional football player. Cannon recorded "Dime Piece" in 2006 as well as "My Wife" on the album Stages. The album was not released. Cannon was raised by his paternal grandfather , whom was his biological father, who he used to call "dad". Cannon was born in Lincoln Park's Bay Vista Housing Projects as an infant. It is a gang-infested region of Southeast San Diego. Cannon was part of the "Lincoln Park Bloods street group" during his teenage years however, he later stated that he lost a close friend, and was able to decide to break off from his gang.
