Natalie Wood

 Natalie Wood (nee Zacharenko; July 20, 1938 - November 29 in 1981) was an American actress who began her film career as a young person and later moved into young adult roles.Wood started acting at age four, and was offered a co-starring role at age 8 in Miracle on 34th Street (1947). She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of a teenager for her part in Rebel Without a Cause (1955). The film was followed by a role on John Ford's The Searchers (1956). Wood was the main character in musicals West Side Story (1961), Gypsy (1962), and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Wood's career was continued with films such as Sex and the Single Girl (1964), Inside Daisy Clover (65), and Bob and Carol and Ted (1969). She was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performances in Splendor In The grass (1961) as well as Love with the Proper Stranger (1963).
