 Keanu Charles Reeves, /ki'a'nu/ keeAHnoo (born September 2, 1964) was born September 2 1964 in Toronto. He is a Canadian actor. Reeves was born in Beirut and was raised in Toronto. He began his acting career in theatre productions prior to transitioning to television. His debut in feature films was in Youngblood (1986). Reeves's breakthrough role was in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989), which he reprised for its sequels. He gained praise for playing an hustler in the independent drama My Own Private Idaho (1991) and established himself as an action-hero through the lead roles in Point Break (1991) and Speed (1994).Following numerous box office disappointments, his role in the film of horror The Devil's Advocate (1997) was well-received. The most acclaim came from his performance as Neo in the science-fiction show The Matrix, beginning in 1999. He was John Constantine in Constantine (2005) and was a part of the romantic drama The Lake House (2006), the science fiction thriller The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008),
