Bernie Taupin

 Bernard John Taupin CBE (born 22 May 1950) is an English songwriter, singer and visual artist. The long-term songwriting collaboration and collaboration with Elton John is his most notable achievement. Taupin wrote the lyrics to the majority John's hits. In 1967, Taupin responded to an advertisement in New Musical Express by Liberty Records. John replied to the same ad and they became friends and have collaborated on numerous albums in the time since. Taupin as well as John were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1992.Taupin was born in Flatters House, a farmhouse located between the town of Anwick and the town of Sleaford in the southern region of Lincolnshire, England, the son of Robert Taupin and Daphne, daughter of John Leonard Palchett "Poppy" Cort and an educated classics professor at the University of Cambridge. teacher who was also the rector of Sale, Greater Manchester (then counted as in Cheshire).
