Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally to Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song in 2017. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN as his debut full-length album. The album peaked at the rank of eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. Mala Influencia is which was released in the year 2020, by Noriel and his Dopamina album the following year. Then in 2021 he sang a duet on TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in a musical environment, as both his mother & his older brother are musicians. In interviews, he referred to music participation as mandatory. In his childhood he was taught how to play the piano, guitar and the ukulele. The first goal was to be a vet, but after his brother Julian was convinced to let him attend lessons with the help of a Cuban musician, he rearranged his career plans.
