The wealth she has acquired from her father Edward Shay, a billionaire. Edward made billions as the creator of Pacific Architects and Engineers (PAE). The private defense contractor was established in 1955. Today, it's an important supplier to the United States and Britain as and organizations such as the Central Intelligence Agency. Pacfic Architects and Engineers was key in the reconstruction of Japan following World War II. In 1974 Edward sold a 40% stake in the company to an employee stock ownership plan. In 1988, he bought back the shares. Edward died in 1995. At this point his son Allen Anna's younger brother was appointed as CEO and Chairman. Lockheed Martin purchased PAE in 2006 for $1.2 billion. Lockheed Martin has sold the company in the year the year 2011 to Lindsay Goldberg, who paid $700 million. Platinum Equity purchased the company in 2016 for an unspecified sum.
