He started by making compilation CDs of tracks under the moniker Quakebeat. He was also a part of different bands in the same time, including Womb 2 Da Tomb, which was formed with his brother Tom Sykes and Matt Nicholls of Bring Me the Horizon, and Purple Curto, where he used the pseudonym Olisaurus to release solo material. The death metal band Bring Me the Horizon was formed in the year 2004 by Oliver Sykes (lead singer), Lee Malia, Matt Nicholls and Jordan Fish (drummer). Since then, they have released four studio albums, as well as two extended shows. The band is known for their metalcore sound, which started to adopt an increasingly eclectic style with their latest releases.
