Brian Brown, 47, is an Detroit music executive who seems to be the epitome of the tale of rags-to-riches. Brown was sentenced to ten years in prison for drug conspiracy. Brown was released in 2010. Seven years on, and Brown is a successful hip-hop mogul and self-described hood hero who is currently promoting a self help book titled Living For The Sacrifice: A Hood Hero's Guide to Success. While Brown may seem to be a shining example of those who have been experiencing difficult times throughout their lives, it is likely that Brown was involved in drug-related crimes. According to court documents, Brown is allegedly one of the most powerful heroin dealers in the Midwest, and his record company, BMB Records, is an excuse to hide his drug cash. This comes on the heels of an extensive investigation which was revealed after the government temporarily reopened the federal search warrant affidavit, according to The Detroit News.
