Michael Herd

Whitney Wolfe Herd started working for Tinder just after she graduated from college. The story of her untimely crash and burn at Tinder and her demotion amid allegations that she was discriminated against due to the fact that it was female has been repeated many times. Since she left Tinder and founded Bumble, her own dating application Bumble which was launched in the year 2014. The app that lets which women are the first to make a move is preparing for its IPO as soon as early 2021 and reports say Bumble is looking for an estimated value of between $6 billion to $8 billion. Wolfe Herd is 31, the CEO of Bumble the parent company, and is in charge of the IPO. At the time of writing Bumble is in search of an underwriter but with 100 million users and an increasing number Wolfe Herd will have her pick from the proverbial litter.Whitney Wolfe Herd was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she attended Judge Memorial Catholic High School. Her father, Michael, who is a developer of properties, is Jewish. Her mother Kelly is a homemaker and Catholic. From a young age she began to become feminist as she was dissatisfied with the way Utah's dating culture relied on men to make the first decision.
