Leonardo

 Recently, a sketch of Leonardo da Vinci from 530 years ago was found in France. The sketch was discovered at the Paris' Tajan auction house and is valued at 15 million euros, or nearly $16 million dollars. The pen and ink drawing is a mere 7.5 5 inches in size and is believed to be one of the eight studies depicting the "Martyred Saint Sebastian" listed in da Vinci's Codex Altlanticus notebooks. It is believed by historians that da Vinci eventually completed a full-length painting, but it has yet to be discovered.The sketch was discovered when an elderly French doctor discovered it among his late father's papers. It was placed in the 16th century by Tajan's director of old master photographs. Another expert observed notes left-handed and determined that da Vinci was the most likely candidate. Carmen C.
