Kym Whitley

 Kym Whitley is an American actor and comedian who has an estimated net worth of $3.5 million. Kym Whitley is best-known for her roles in sitcoms like "Animal Practice", "The Parkers," The Boondocks," or "Black Dynamite." She was born 21 July 1961, in Shaker Heights (Ohio) to Kaysonia Whitley and William Whitley. She also spent a portion of her childhood in Khartoum, Sudan and grew up with her two brothers who were older, Kyle and Scott. Her father was an architect and was one of the founders of the black architectural firm, Whitley and Whitley. They were involved with building projects like the Tower City Center, the Cleveland Public Library, and the home to the Cleveland Indians - Progressive Field.After college, Whitley moved to California and initially worked as a teacher in Compton until she could get a job as assistant to Arsenio Hall. She also became an actress on the show "Soul Train." Her first big break in 1989, when she was cast in Shelly Garrett's play "Beauty Shop" that premiered in Los Angeles and traveled throughout the United States.
