 Richard "Old Man" Harrison was an American pawn shop owner and reality television star who was worth a net of $8 million at the time of his death in 2018. Richard Harrison who was also referred to as Old Man, was a participant on the History channel's hit reality series Pawn Stars (2009-2015). "Old Man" became known by his nickname when he was in his late 30s due to his looks and general behavior. Richard started the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, Nevada, together with his son Rick in 1989, and as of 2010, he hadn't missed a single day of work since 1994. "Pawn Stars" was launched in 2009 just three months later, it had become the most watched show on the History Channel, and it was the basis for the popular spin-off show, "American Restoration" in 2010. Harrison appeared in over 270 episodes of "Pawn Stars.. "Richard "Old Man" Harrison was born Richard Benjamin Harrison Jr. on March 4, 1941, in Danville, Virginia. His family relocated to Lexington, North Carolina when Richard was a young man. He was a student at Lexington High School, but left during the middle of his senior year. When he was 14, he wasn't attracted to school.
