Jennifer Connelly

 Jennifer Lynn Connelly (born December 12 1970) is an American actress. She began her career as a model for children before making her acting debut in the 1984 crime movie Once Upon a Time in America. After working as models for several years, she decided to focus on acting. She appeared in a myriad of films, including the film of horror Phenomena (1985) and the musical film about a fantasy called Labyrinth (1986), the romantic comedy Career Opportunities (1991) and the period superhero film The Rocketeer (1991). She received praise for her performance in the science fiction film Dark City (1998) and as a drug addict in the drama film of Darren Aronofsky Requiem for a Dream (2000).In 2002, Connelly won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Alicia Nash in Ron Howard's biopic A Beautiful Mind (2001). The films that followed were the action film Hulk (2003, the horror film Dark Water (2005) and the psychological drama Little Children (2006). She also starred in the dramatic film Blood Diamond (2006) and the science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008).
