 Alicia Roanne Witt (born August 21 1975) is an American actor, singer and pianist. After being discovered by David Lynch who cast her in Twin Peaks (1990) and Dune (1984), she first rose to prominence as an actor for children. Witt had a critically acclaimed part as a disturbed teenage girl in Fun (1994) and also appeared as a music student in Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) as well as as a terrorized college student in the horror film Urban Legend (1998). She was a part of Cameron Crowe's Vanilla Sky (2001), Two Weeks Notice (2002), Last Holiday (2006) and the thriller 88 Minutes (2007). Witt has appeared on television on The Walking Dead and Nashville, Two and a Half Men and The Librarians. She has also appeared in Friday Night Lights, Friday Night Lights and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Witt has been featured in eight Hallmark Christmas films The first was broadcast in 2013. In her most recent film, 2020's Christmas Tree Lane, she served as executive producer and storywriter.
