Melissa Marie Benoist, /b@'noIst/b@-NOYST was born on the 4th of October 1988. She is an American actress and singer. Her first role on screen was Marley Rose on the Fox musical comedy drama Glee (2012-2014), where she was a regular on the show in the fifth season. Her first major appearance was in the role of Marley Rose on the CBS Supergirl, a CBS/ CW Supergirl, a superhero series Supergirl (2015). She was also a regular on the series in the fifth season. Benoist also played the wife of cult leader David Koresh on the Paramount Network miniseries Waco (2018). On Broadway, Benoist was the first actress to play Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical in 2018.
