Matt Brown

 Matthew Burton Brown, born January 10, 1981 is an American mixed martial artist who fights in the Welterweight division at the Ultimate Fighting Championship. A professional competitor since 2004 Brown was one of the contestants in the 7th season of The Ultimate Fighter television series and holds the current record for most knockouts in UFC Welterweight history.Brown was born and was raised in Jamestown, Ohio. After being home-schooled for two years, Brown attended Greeneview High School where he struggled to find friends. Brown was born into a small, isolated community without any hope of his career. Brown worked as machine operator in a low-paying factory. For a time, he was addicted to meth, regularly used cocaine and was often entangled into fights with friends at events. By his early twenties he had survived a heroin overdose (which led to his nickname "The Immortal"), had been homeless and had been in prison.
