Jane Seymour (c. 1508 - 24 October 1537) was the Queen of England as the third wife of King Henry VIII of England from their wedding on May 30th 1536 until her demise the following year. Following the execution of Anne Boleyn, Henry's second wife, was executed, she was made Queen. Two weeks after giving birth to her only child, future Henry VI, the future King Edward VI, she died from complications postnatally. Henry's only wife, Jane, was the one who would have an official burial for the queen or to be buried with him in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. While she was able to write and read, she was better at household management and needlework, which was more important to women. Six of her needlework survived to 1652 when it was made an honorary maid for Queen Catherine. However, some may have served the Queen Anne from 1527 onwards.
