Benjamin Geza Affleck, born August 15, 1972 was an American actor from the United States. He has been awarded two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Volpi Cup. This is the most prestigious award awarded to actors at the Venice Film Festival. When he was a kid actor, he was a part of the PBS educational program The Voyage of the Mimi (1984-1988). Then, he was a part of the independent comedy Dazed and Confused (1993) as well as numerous Kevin Smith films including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck was more well-known when he was awarded the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997). He also played a lead role in the film. Affleck became a prominent actor in films of the studio like the war-themed drama Pearl Harbor (2001), the disaster film Armageddon (1998) as well as the war-themed film Pearl Harbor (192001). Affleck also appeared in the film Good Will Hunting (1997).
